We'll be getting our first look at Starfighter Assault at Gamescom next month. Up to 24 players will be able to dogfight in a space battle set during the original trilogy era, with various Star Wars ships in an objective-based battle. Unique, upgradable abilities ensure classic characters bring their distinct powers and personality to the battle. But the beta doesn't end there.ĮA has also announced, that we'll finally be able to play in a space battle, on a map called Starfighter Assault. Play asand againstStar Wars' most feared villains and cherished heroes from all three eras, including Kylo Ren, Rey, Darth Maul, Yoda, and many more. Players will fight it out in massive 40-player battles on the streets of Theed with four trooper classes Assault, Heavy, Officer and Specialist. If you've been following Star Wars Battlefront 2 for the past several weeks, then you'll be very familiar with the map, as it was shown off during EA Play. So what's in the multiplayer beta? EA has revealed that they'll be just one 40-player multiplayer map, Naboo: Theed in Galactic Assault.
For those that would like to play the beta as an early access member, you'll need to pre-order Star Wars Battlefront 2 from a participating retailer to receive an early access beta code. The game will also feature an open beta period, which will take place on October 6 - 9. EA has finally announced the beta dates for Star Wars Battlefront 2, which will be taking place on October 4 - 9 for early access members.
